Southeast Vermont Regional Recap, December 2019

Our annual legislative meeting was held on December 3rd. This year, our small group discussions were focused on physical, mental, and dental health access, access to high quality, affordable child care, and community resilience/social isolation.

We are continuing to work to support the Windham Regional Career Center in restarting the Early Childhood Education pathway in coordination with CCV and our Child Care Counts Coalition. It is in the proposed budget!

Our presentations on The Basics are also continuing and several partners are already using the materials. It is wonderful to see the way the materials resonate with our community and state partners.

The preparations for Windham County’s Month of the Young Child have already begun and we are excited about continuing this strong community tradition. This year will host the 16th Annual Children’s Art Exhibit.
