Caledonia/S. Essex Recap, March 2019

The Caledonia/Southern Essex region is in the midst of a staffing transition. Dawn Powers has stepped into an exciting role as the Director of the NEKCA Parent Child Center. BBF is pleased to announce Linda Michniewicz has accepted the BBF Regional Coordinator position serving the Orleans/Northern Essex and Caledonia/Southern Essex regions. Leaders from each of the Councils served on the hiring committee. Linda comes to the position with many years of experience working in early childhood at the Northeast Kingdom Community Action Head Start, Caledonia North Supervisory Union and serving on the ONE BBF Council. Linda will start April 8th.

Even with staffing changes, many Council partners stepped up to help organize its 12th Annual Dabble Day on March 17, 2019 at the St. Johnsbury School. The day was a huge success with over 400 people attending including 70 volunteers and 36 partnering agencies/programs. 209 Children and 138 Adults attended the event from 24 towns from across the regions. Families participated in a range of activities and received resource bags and books.
