Ways to Give on #GivingTuesday

Raising awareness of Building Bright Futures and making a gift on #GivingTuesday is a wonderful way to inspire people and communities to come together and reflect on the needs of Vermont’s children and families.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and unity. As Building Bright Futures takes part in this day, we are celebrating our network of over 450 early childhood partners, families, and leaders and their response to the many needs in our local community during this pandemic. You can help!

Ways to Give

Building Bright Futures Donation Initiatives

BBF General Fund

Donations support Building Bright Futures to improve the lives of Vermont children and families and strengthen the early childhood system through: supporting 12 regional councils to identify and address community needs; bringing cross-sector stakeholders together to coordinate and solve challenges around key initiatives (i.e. preK, child care, nutrition, early identification, early childhood and family mental health, etc.); monitoring Vermont’s early childhood system and national policy priorities; using evidence and data to inform policy and decision-making; family and community partnership and engagement; and serving as the primary advisor to the Governor and legislature on the well-being of children and families.

Vermont Early Childhood Fund

The Vermont Early Childhood Fund (VECF) was developed to support creative solutions that will improve the well-being of children (prenatal-age 8), families, as well as the Vermont communities in which they live. This fund prioritizes funding towards the needs of communities and recognizes our 12 regional councils as the early childhood experts within communities to identify those needs. In our inaugural year, the VECF provided $100,000 in grant funds generously donated by a single private donor. We are now accepting donations to build this fund for FY22 and beyond!

PicoSummit365

PicoSummit365 is a campaign to raise awareness of, and funding for, Building Bright Futures (BBF). Randy Crossman from Rutland, VT has committed to summiting Pico Mountain 365 times this year for BBF in effort to promote the well-being of children and families in Vermont. His question to you is: “How are you building a love for outdoor activity and lifelong health and well-being in your kids or in the kids you’re working with?” You can follow his journey on Facebook at PicoSummit365. As of November 29, 2021 he completed 165 summits up Pico Mountain in 161 days, logging 610.5 miles climbed and 324,555 ft of elevation total. You can support this effort with a one-time donation or commit to sponsoring each summit he completes by clicking here.

Please take a minute to give today. Whichever way you choose, we thank you for your support of our mission to improve the well-being of children and families in Vermont!
