In 2014, Vermont passed Act 166, also known as the Universal Prekindergarten Education (Pre-K) law, which offers all 3- and 4 year-olds, and 5-year-olds not enrolled in kindergarten, up to 10 hours per week of publicly funded Pre-K for 35 weeks of the academic year.
