Head Start and Early Head Start are comprehensive early education programs for children from low-income and vulnerable families from birth to age 5. In addition to helping children prepare for kindergarten and beyond, Head Start and Early Head Start help facilitate critical health services like immunizations and vision, dental, and hearing screenings, in addition to providing other wraparound support services for families.
