Central Vermont Regional Council Recap – July 2017
This spring, the Central Vermont Council spent our meetings focused on three general areas, the first being gathering and sharing information – for example, we had an in depth meeting focused on and guided by Hunger Free VT, an in depth conversation with our AHS Field Director about their role and how they are uniquely tasked with supporting our communities.
The second area of focus is problem solving and networking. Regional Council meetings in Central Vermont serve a critical place for informal interactions and relationships to develop across the broad areas of Early Childhood support. As such, folks meet and learn about different issues in different sectors, and expand each other’s knowledge, perception and understanding, and network for problem solving.
Finally, Central Vermont’s Council has been very active legislatively and is looking forward to increasing our relationships with our representatives, and a deeper understanding of the legislative process.
