The Southeast Vermont Building Bright Futures regional council is the early childhood council for our region. We coordinate activities and provide a space for emerging issues to be addressed. We meet every second Wednesday of the month from 4-5:30pm, at Winston Prouty209 Austine Drive, Brattleboro (unless there is a special event), main conference room. Click Here for our FY 2018 council event calendar.

Our council is inclusive and open to any individual, organization and agency interested in our vision and mission. Click Here for our council operating principles. Interested in joining our regional council efforts? Contact Chad Simmons at 802.451.8627.

Family-centered workplace practices can support all employees and their families. Click Here for ongoing efforts, upcoming events/efforts, materials as well as a recap of our Making it Work in Windham: Early Childhood & Our Workforce Summit on November 15, 2016 at the Brattleboro Retreat.

Promise Communities

The Promise Community Initiative provides supports to help communities (with at least one elementary school) to work across sectors. These collaborations will do ‘whatever it takes’ to improve the educational and developmental outcomes for children in their communities. We currently have two Promise Communities in our region: Green Street Elementary School in Brattleboro and the town of Guilford, coordinated by Community Collabortive 4 Guilford (CC4G)
