Are you a parent with young children, looking for a way to play a leadership role in your community and across Vermont? BBF’s Families & Communities Committee is looking for parent leaders who are interested in sharing their ideas and experiences to improve the well-being of young children.
Parents will partner with policymakers to shape family engagement strategies, inform policy development, and strengthen their own leadership skills. The Committee meets the first Monday of each month for dinner, 5:30-7:30 pm. You can learn more about the priorities of the Families & Communities Committee here, or review the entire Early Childhood Action Plan here.
We’d also welcome parents to share your thoughts about the issues impacting your family. Your responses to this six-minute survey will shape the priorities of the Building Bright Futures Families and Communities Committee as it works to elevate parent voices in Vermont’s early childhood system.
*Parent refers to all adults who interact with early childhood systems in support of their child, including biological, adoptive, and foster parents; grandparents; legal and informal guardians; and adult siblings.
