BBF Newsletter, May 2016
Dear families, community partners and stakeholders,
I am delighted to be writing you today to introduce myself as your Executive Director of Building Bright Futures. There is no greater honor than to have the opportunity to work in partnership and on behalf of Vermont’s children, families and state and community partners to continue to advance our Early Childhood System.
Vermont has established itself and is recognized as a national leader for its commitment to the well-being of our children, for cultivating the strength of our families and communities and for investing in systems and resources to support these priorities.
Our greatest challenge is to ensure that no child or family misses out on quality development and support opportunities. Given the breadth and magnitude of need and our rural demographics, it is essential for us to empower communities and build the capacity of our system to provide high-quality, research-driven and family-centered care.
Building Bright Futures will continue to work to build and strengthen a coordinated and collaborative system that integrates the collective needs of our communities, develops a common language and aligns values and priorities across stakeholders.
I look forward to working side-by-side with you as we endeavor together to realize a shared vision for our Early Childhood System in Vermont.
